Blue Golf Sits in Fourth After Day One of Jack Leaman Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - Wellesley College golf sits in fourth place with a 318 team score on Saturday in the Jack Leaman Invitational from the Par 72 - 5638 Yards Orchards Golf Club.

Williams and Amherst sit tied for the lead with 306 apiece, followed by New York U. (308), and then the Blue with 318, five strokes ahead of Hamilton and Middlebury with 323 each. Williams senior Catalin Yturralde (La Mesa, Calif.) shot an even 72 to lead the individual leaderboard after day one.

Senior Caroline MacVicar (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) had the low mark for the Blue carding a 77 (+5) to tie for ninth. Sophomore Elizabeth Kim (Riverside, Calif.) followed with a 78 while juniors Marilyn Fang (Beijing, China) and Emma Lim (Skillman, N.J.) both broke the 80 mark with a pair of 79s. 

Senior Kate MacVicar (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) and sophomore Norah Catlin (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) rounded out the Blue with an 84 and 85 respectively.

The Blue will begin day two of the Jack Leaman Invitational tomorrow at 9:00 AM.
