Greene and Summers Make the NEWMAC Field Hockey Second Team All-Conference

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Wellesley College field hockey junior Marguerite Greene (Boston, Mass.) and sophomore Claudia Summers (San Diego, Calif.) have each been selected to the 2025 NEWMAC Field Hockey Second Team All-Conference on Wednesday.

Greene helped anchor the Wellesley defense this season, leading to four shutouts. Greene made a pair of defensive saves against ranked opposition versus Swarthmore College and Bowdoin College. Greene received NEWMAC Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending on October 5.

Claudia Summers | So. | San Diego, Calif. | NEWMAC Second Team All-Conference

Summers led the Blue with 10 goals and 20 points this season. The sophomore recorded NEWMAC game-winners over Salve Regina University, Mount Holyoke College and Smith College. Summers ended the season with a goal in the NEWMAC Championship First Round at MIT.

The 2025 NEWMAC Field Hockey All-Conference Team consisted of a first team of 13 honorees and second team of 13 honorees, as voted on by the 10 head field hockey coaches.
