Wellesley Track & Field Races Five Onto CSC Academic All-District Team

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College track & field seniors Erin Dickinson (Papillion, Neb.) and Aoife Fitzgerald (Paxton, Mass.), and juniors Simone Beauchamp (Aurora, Colo.), Emily Brydges (Suffield, Conn.) and Ella Whinney (Madison, Wis.) have all earned a place on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. 

The 2024-25 Academic All-District Track & Field/Cross Country Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The award is given to athletes who in addition to being impactful on their respective team, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50, and have achieved second year status at their academic institution

Dickinson competed in the Triple Jump at the New England DIII Indoor Championships (10.37m) and the Long Jump at the New England DIII Outdoor Championships (5.00m). Fitzgerald took 11th in the 400m Hurdles at the New England DIII Outdoor Championships (1:08.16).

Beauchamp recorded a 10:57.52 in the 3000m Steeplechase at the MIT Final Qualifier and ranked No. 36 in Division III in the event. Brydges took bronze in the NEWMAC Championships in the 10000m (38:57.13) and 15th in the 5000m at the NEICAAA Outdoor Championship (17:55.32.)

Whinney qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division III Championships with a season-best time of 10:45.61 at the NEICAAA Outdoor Championship. In Geneva, Ohio, Whinney finished 12th overall in the 3000m Steeplechase finals.
