McNair Makes It Five NEWMAC Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week Honors in 2025

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Wellesley College soccer senior Riley McNair (Cupertino, Calif.) has been named NEWMAC Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week for the fifth time this season for the week ending on October 12, 2025. McNair previously collected the award for the weeks ending on September 7, 14, 21 and October 5.

McNair had another stellar week, stopping all 12 shots faced without allowing a single goal against Emerson and Wheaton. With three saves against Emerson and nine in a win over Wheaton, McNair now has 197 career saves, 10th all-time in Blue program history. The senior is up to five shutouts this season and lowered the goals against average to 0.72.

On Wednesday, October 15, the Blue head to Worcester, Mass. to face WPI at 6:00 PM..
