MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Wellesley College soccer senior goalkeeper
Riley McNair (Cupertino, Calif.) has been named the NEWMAC Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending on September 14, 2025. This McNair's second week in a row earning the honor, having previously been the recipient for the week ending on September 7.
McNair didn't allow a single goal in 135 minutes of action while making 10 saves for the Blue this past week. In a 0-0 tie with UMass Boston, McNair made nine stops, including defending a penalty kick for her 150th career save. On Saturday, the senior keeper made one save and earned the win as part of a combined shutout of UMaine Farmington.
McNair and the Blue will take a 3-1-1 record to Plymouth State University on Wednesday, September 17 for a 4:00 PM kickofff.
