MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Wellesley College soccer senior goalkeeper
Riley McNair (Cupertino, Calif.) has been named the NEWMAC Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending on September 7, 2025.
McNair had a big week for Wellesley, earning 18 saves and a .900 save percentage across 135 minutes in goal. On Wednesday, McNair allowed no goals on six saves in the first of a combined shutout to help the Blue defeat Endicott. Versus Brandeis on Sunday, the senior made 12 stops to keep Wellesley close against high-level opposition.
McNair and the Blue will look to improve to 3-1 on Wednesday when the team travels to UMass Boston for a 7:00 PM kickoff on Wednesday, September 10.
