MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Wellesley College cross country senior
Ella Whinney (Madison, Wis.) has received the NEWMAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor for the week ending on August 31, 2025. Monday marked the fifth weekly honor of the senior's decorated career with the Blue.
Whinney came in first in a field of 39 runners at the 5k Wellesley Invitational this past Friday evening. Whinney's 19:03.6 performance helped the Blue to claim gold as a team with a winning score.
Up next, Wellesley will compete at the Pop Crowell Invite in Wenham, Mass. on Saturday, September 13.
