MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – Seven members of Wellesley College basketball have earned spots on the 2025-26 NEWMAC Women's Basketball Academic All-Conference Team.
Selections must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2025 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
Junior Trinity Barrow (Evans, Ga.), Amanda Cheng (Shanghai, China) and Mirella Funari (Phoenix, Ariz.) all earned the accolade for a second year in-a-row.
Additionally, sophomores Stacy Chen (Minneapolis, Minn.), Emaleena Elson (Irvine, Calif.), Else Kunze-Hoeg (Eagan, Minn.) and Bridget Sheahan (Bedford, Mass.) have each collected the honor in the first year of eligibility.

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) consists of 12 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Salve Regina University, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
