MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – Wellesley College basketball junior Trinity Barrow (Evans, Ga.) and sophomore Ava Shane (Plano, Texas) have both earned a place on the 2025-26 NEWMAC Women's Basketball Second Team All-Conference. Barrow has received a second career Second Team All-Conference honor. This marks the first time since 2011-12 that Wellesley has placed multiple players on the All-Conference teams.
Trinity Barrow | Jr. | Evans, Ga. | NEWMAC Second Team All-Conference
Barrow led the NEWMAC this season with 4.1 assists per game and 2.8 steals per game. The junior guard was second on the team with 12.3 points per game. Barrow's NEWMAC highlights included a nine point, 10 rebound, nine assist near triple-double in a win over Salve Regina University and 20 points with four steals to defeat Wheaton College.
Ava Shane | So. | Plano, Texas | NEWMAC Second Team All-Conference
Shane led the team with 16.2 points per game this season and finished fourth in the NEWMAC in points per game in conference matchups with 16.5. The sophomore was also seventh in the conference with 7.4 rebounds per game in NEWMAC play. Shane's conference highlights included a 28 point explosion to defeat Coast Guard and a 15 point, 14 rebound double-double versus Salve Regina.
The 2025-26 NEWMAC Women's Basketball All-Conference Teams consisted of a first team of eight honorees and second team of eight honorees, as voted on by the 12 head women's basketball coaches.
